Jeff Lapin is an accomplished executive with over 30 years of C-level management experience primarily in hospitality and technology. In the past several years he has invested in over 40 start-ups. He joined TCA in 2010 and served as the Chair of Tech Coast Angels and the Los Angeles Chapter
Jeff began his career as outside attorney to a predecessor of Starwood Hotels & Resorts. He joined the company in 1986 and served in various capacities with Starwood and its predecessors, including from 1991 to 1996 as its President and CEO or its COO. He also served on the Board of Starwood and its predecessors.
From 2002 to 2004, Jeff served as a Director and Chief Executive Officer of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), a developer of interactive software. Jeffrey also served as CEO and a Director of Atari, a French public company (entertainment technology) from 2009 to 2010, and as COO and Vice Chairman of the Board of THQ Inc. (NASDAQ: THQI) from 1998 to 2002 (entertainment technology). He also served as the President or CEO of four private companies. Jeff has been a
lecturer at the UCLA Business School for the past twelve years
Jeff earned his BA from UCLA, and his JD from Loyola Law School. In addition to his academic, corporate and investment responsibilities, he serves on the boards of two not for profit organizations.
