Howard Newman
Member since 2023
With a professional degree in business (MBA), as a registered patent attorney licensed to practice law in four jurisdictions in the United States, and admitted in at least twelve separate federal courts, Mr. Newman advises corporate and individual clients (both in the U.S. and internationally, especially Brazil) on a variety of legal issues. These issues primarily intersect litigation, business, and intellectual property ("IP"). Mr. Newman has extensive litigation experience in commercial and IP matters, he has handled numerous cases as an arbitrator, and he has testified as an expert. He also has extensive experience in complex negotiations, IP valuations, and his first-hand experience as an officer of a company has informed his legal career. His clients and arbitrants before him have spanned Fortune 100 companies, international, national and smaller entities, including law firms, group practices, and retail establishments, including franchises as well as individual clients, including practicing attorneys and other professionals. Mr. Newman has remained formally ‘Of Counsel’ at three separate firms each since ~2008, and he collaborates with a vast network of attorneys, law firms and other professionals both in the U.S and abroad. Yet, some of his greatest joy derives from his wife, three children, and his dogs.
