Marcus O. Filipovich is Vice Chairman and a Director of Pasadena Angels, Inc., and a Managing Member of Pasadena Angels Funds. Previously, he co-chaired the Pasadena Angels Screening Committee and the Standards Committee and serves on the Outreach Committee for sourcing deals.

An investor in over 70 deals, his focus is on companies with sustainable growth and recurring revenue. Marcus has held roles including General Manager of a startup incubator, a Limited Partner in an Accelerator, and a founding member of five companies in Consumer Electronics, Mobile Apps, Medical Devices, Workplace Safety and Artificial Intelligence.

Marcus has held roles including Executive Vice President of Marketing, Sales, and Business Development, President, and Chief Executive Officer at multiple startups. He is actively involved in the startup community and has mentored hundreds of CEOs.

Marcus began his career designing implantable pacemakers and marketing deep brain stimulators at Medtronic, Inc. He holds an MS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT and an MBA from the Carlson School.
