Since 2004 Joe has been Director of the Pasadena Angels. Joe is also a Partner with iGlobe Treasury Management Ltd., a Pan-Pacific Venture Capital firm. With offices in New Zealand, Singapore, Australia, Taiwan and the U.S., iGlobe provides seed and early stage financing for the Digital Media, Life Sciences and Cleantech sectors.
Prior to joining the Pasadena Angels, he was the Chief Operating Officer of Probandi, a security management company and was the Vice President Worldwide Sales and Marketing for NxN Software AG, a German venture-backed provider of media asset management solutions that was acquired by Avid Technology (NSDQ: AVID).
During his career, he has led international expansion efforts for both start-up and Fortune 500 high-tech companies into Europe and Asia-Pacific, has extensive experience in the US and Europe raising venture capital, and has successfully led several mergers and acquisitions.
Joe’s past and present board positions include Teresis Media (digital media production), Spin Disk (storage devices), EgoPlanet (Internet ), Goodwill Industries, and the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy (a non-profit organization).
Joe holds Bachelors and Masters degrees from MIT. He has also been a frequent blogger and speaker on entrepreneurship for many local and international organizations and events, including Los Angeles County Technology Week, University of Southern California, Growth Capital Conference. New Zealand Venture Capital Association, Tech Coast Venture Network, MIT Enterprise Forum, and the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise Investment Forum.
